I was looking through old journals and I found this word that the Holy Spirit spoke to me:
"Your loyalty will be tested."
Job's loyalty was tested. Joseph's loyalty was tested. Jesus' loyalty was tested in the desert. Peter's loyalty was tested. He failed the first time around but passed the second time when he gave his very life.
So what's to stop God from testing our loyalty to Him if He wants? And when the trial comes will we be found faithful no matter what the cost?
If your loyalty is being tested remember this. God does nothing without a purpose. Everything we go through is worth it if we are willing to let His glory be shown through our brokenness. (Even if we never see it this side of eternity.)
Take it from one who's loyalty knows severe testing...

You too?
One of the first Bible verses that I had to memorize is James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
These days I find myself going back to those verses, again and again.
So profound my dear, through the fire we are refined like gold.
Much love and prayers.
hi Sue! I actually tried to call you this week! I know that from this post you know what it's like:)
I wish I were even like Peter, getting it right on the second try...
Isn't it great that our loyalty to Him is so very valuable?
"For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." Luke 9:24
Too bad that sometimes it takes those tests and trials to bring us back. "Wish it didn't have to happen this way, but I'm glad it happened..." has been in my prayers lately.
Thanks for the post!
